BY JAMIE ORTEGA PHOTO BY WILSON CHUA During an interview last January 25 on ABS-CBN’s Kris TV, actress and new mother Andi Eigenmann talked about the challenges of being a single mom. The actress revealed that she took care of hospital bills when she gave birth to her baby daughter named Adrianna Gabrielli.  “Yes, since nagwo-work na ako, I have my own money already. When I got pregnant, with everything that I needed to pay for, siyempre ako na yun. If I can pay for it, I did. And at times na parang wala akong pera, my mom would help me naman,” she revealed. However, Andi said that since she wasn’t earning over the last few months because she had to focus on her pregnancy, the actress’ mother—veteran actress Jacklyn Jose—helped Andi with her condominium and car payments.  “I’m not yet back at work so siya muna lahat, pero babayaran ko naman siya. ‘Di ko naman siya pababayaan. Kasi I embraced my situation and I took on the responsibility. So siyempre I prepared myself along with that na dapat ako na lahat, wala na akong hihingiin sa mommy ko.” Andi revealed that she’s lucky and thankful to have parents who love her unconditionally and support her wholeheartedly. “That’s why I’m always happy. I’m such a positive thinker amidst all the problems. It’s because my mom taught me that no matter what happens, you take on everything positively and with a smile on your face. There's no way people would be able to step on you, there's no way you will feel bad. Because wala namang reason para isipin mo na magiging miserable ang buhay mo dahil lang sa isang pagkakamali.” Before giving birth rumors circulated that Andi will soon be staging a showbiz comeback via a TV remake of the ‘80s movie Problem Child.
