BY JAMIE ORTEGA PHOTOS BY JOHN OCAMPO It’s over between Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco. Jason broke the sad news when he and Melai entered the Pinoy Big Brother house last Sunday, February 19. The two former Housemates went back to the Big Brother House to help Kuya assign various tasks and challenges to the remaining Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited Housemates. The visit was a walk down memory lane for the two. As we all know, Melai and Jason met and fell in love back in 2009 when they joined Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up. Melai emerged as the Big Winner of that season. When they were inside the house, Pinoy Big Brother Housemate Carlo Romero first noticed the growing tension between the two, prompting him to ask Melai if Jason is still her boyfriend. “Hindi, oo, hindi,” answered the comedienne. Housemate Deniesse Joaquin prodded further. She asked Melai if she and Jason split up. "Hindi, oo, hindi. Parang ganoon nga. Pero hindi na naman ako galit sa kanya ngayon," was the comedienne’s loaded answer. After sensing that all was not well between the two, Big Brother called Jason and spoke with him privately in the confession room. Francisco revealed that he and Cantiveros had a recent tampuhan which stemmed from a fight at the party of their former co- housemate Paul Jake Castillo. "Sa natatandaan ko kasi, hindi ko siya na-invite sa bahay ni pareng Paul Jake. Akala niya, na-feel niya lang na di siya importante sa akin. In-explain ko naman sa kanya na minsan ay gusto ko ding mag-isa kasi may iniisip ako para sa amin. So na-feel niya yata nanlalamig ako sa kanya o wala na akong feelings. Hindi ako nag-so-sorry sa kanya, so gusto niya lang akong mag-sorry. Ako naman, ayaw kong mag-sorry kasi wala naman akong kasalanan,” explained Jason. Jason also told Kuya that he won’t let a simple misunderstanding break their two-year relationship. "Aaminin ko, kaming dalawa, hindi kami marunong magtago ng feelings... ng emotions. Kaya nga noon nakita mo, hindi ako masyadong pinapansin. Aaminin ko may tampuhan kaming dalawa, pero dumarating naman 'yon at nagkataon lang na bigla kaming pumasok dito, e, nasa moment pa kami ng tampuhan. Pero it doesn't mean na hiwalay na kami forever."
