BY MARK SABLAN PHOTOS BY WILSON CHUA Another noontime show bites the dust. This time, it is ABS-CBN’s Happy Yipee Yehey, which aired its first episode last February 12, 2011. After almost a year, it is saying goodbye—its final episode will be shown this Saturday, February 4. For sure, the show’s hosts—main ones John Estrada, Toni Gonzaga, Randy Santiago, Rico J. Puno, and Pokwang, plus co-hosts Bianca Manalo, John Prats, and Matteo Guidicelli—are sad about the cancellation of their show. However, according to Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, the hosts will be given new projects that Kapamilyas will enjoy. Happy Yihee Yehey, which was an Anak TV Seal awardee in 2011 and awarded the “Best Noontime Show” award at the 2011 Ateneo de Manila University Dangal ng Bayan Aawards, is the second noontime show that’s been cancelled, after Willie Revillame’s Wowowee. Interestingly, Mariel Rodriguez, an original Happy Yihee Yehey host, moved to TV5 and is now one of the hosts of Wil Time Bigtime—Willie Revillame’s game show. Here is the complete official statement of ABS-CBN on Happy Yipee Yehey, care of Bong Osorio: Happy Yipee Yehey (HYY) will have its last episode with the grand finals of its “My Girl” search at the AFP Theater on Saturday, February 4, 2012. ABS-CBN is very grateful to the HYY hosts and production staff for their hard work and contribution in giving our noontime viewers a “happy, yipee, yehey” experience for the past year. We also extend our deepest gratitude to our viewers, here in the Philippines and in The Filipino Channel (TFC) markets worldwide, for their support to the program. The HYY hosts will be given new projects that Kapamilyas will surely enjoy. Inside Pinoy Showbiz has more TV News HERE

  • Ragool January 31, 2012 abs-cbn management, i hope you're reading this. please take good care of the HYY Hot Stuff dancers. they're loyal to you the whole time. they could have transferred to willie revillame's "wil time big time" but they've chosen to stay with abs-cbn.
