GMA 7’s new show Legacy really, really looks promising. And here are the top 10 reasons why we think it’s something you should go home early for.

10 BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

From the main stars to the supporting cast, everyone looks good. This is TV, after all, and looks are important.

9 EVERYONE’S YOUNG

Well, almost everyone. But for the main cast, it’s good that the casting directors chose a bunch of young people who amazingly are all perfect for their roles.

8 SKIN

So far, we’ve seen Lovi Poe flaunting her sexy body in a two-piece swimsuit—something that’s rarely seen on Philippine TV, even on primetime! This seems to be a good start, and we wish Lovi’s not the only Legacy star who will be showing some skin. After all, sex sells.

7 LOL-WORTHY LINES

The show’s scriptwriters seem to be inspired, basing on the abundance of quotable quotes that you will get from this show. These lines are tongue-in-cheek funny, some of them are even mean—but still hilarious, of course. Every episode has at least five LOL-worthy lines.

6 FAST PACE

No plot-less music video-inspired moments here, where a character just stares blankly into space for a whole minute (complete with sad music in the background). No lingering shots on reactions, too. Which is good. The Filipino viewer, after all, is sick and tired of shows, stories, and scenes being stretched. Everyone suffers from short-attention span today.

5 PEOPLE SPEAK IN ENGLISH

Just like in real life. And it’s not forced, too, because the characters who do speak in English really need to do so—and even look the part.

4 ALESSANDRA DE ROSSI

Alex is truly one of the best actresses we have around today—especially when it comes to portraying bad girls, like the one she portrays in Legacy. When there’s Alex, there’s sure to be lots of face-slapping, screaming, hair-pulling, and confrontations.

3 LOVI POE IS PERFECTION

No one else can portray the role of Natasha—it’s like it was tailor made for Lovi. And every line she gives or move she makes convinces you that she really is one evil-minded and insecure spoiled brat.

2 HEART EVANGELISTA LEVELS UP

Legacy is supposedly the show that made Heart stay in GMA 7, and you know what—good for her! Coz so far, it’s showcasing her acting skills. It’s actually believable that Heart is a poor girl with no fashion sense in this show! Good job!

1 CATFIGHTS

In the first episode, there was already some hair-pulling between Alessandra de Rossi and Lovi Poe. Of course, there’s also tension between the characters of Lovi and Heart Evangelista, so more catfights should come our way very, very soon.
